More than 6,000 property investors, second home buyers and trade professionals are expected to congregate at London’s ExCel centre from 14-16 October for the Property Investor Show & OPP Live.

Among the highlights of the show will be:

• A live auction of more than 200 property lots – one of the largest residential property auctions of the year.
• Focus on lodge and holiday home investment
• A Landlord Forum – with more landlords present than at any other event
• Luxury real estate events
• Special seminars on Egyptian property investment

On Thursday 14 October at 1.30pm there will be a chance to quiz property editors of national newspapers about the likely direction of the markets, and where they see the best investment opportunities lying.

Then on Friday 15 October there will be an afternoon debate about the state of the landlord market, with a panel of five experts.

Around half of the event will be dedicated to overseas property, both in the established markets of Spain, France and the US, and emerging locations such as Turkey, Brazil and South African. Specialised developers and agents will be on hand to advise participants on buying, selling and moving.

The breadth of exhibitor and delegate is quite exceptional: where else could you meet someone from Florida Bargain Resales, then move straight on to Dogs Trust Lets with Pets? Segue smoothly from Sanctuary Belize to Singing Pig (an investment network)?

And, among the more esoteric visitors, there are many large scale and serious players, such as Invest in Brazil or Sotheby’s.

As global property values begin to recover after a sustained dip, this could be the time to look further afield and test the water.
