St. Petersburg flower shops have reportedly increased by 32% since 2005. The growth is also evident in other major metropolitans in Russia.

A study launched by an independent research team, Customer Care of Modern Society, found out that flower shops in St. Petersburg have grown in number. It grew by about 32% since the last survey, which was held in 2005. This growth has been attributed mainly to the increasing popularity of the Internet. With more and more people now using the Internet for many different reasons, the rise of flower shop websites has become quite apparent.

The AMF, or the International Flowers Delivery Network, is one of the largest players in the flower market in Russia. They cater to more than 740 cities in the country, with their huge number of florist members.

According to the PR manager of AMF http://www.sendflowers.ru/eng/flowers-russia-saint_petersburg/ , Anya Petrov, “Many of our florist shops have expanded to the online market. This explains why there is a rapid growth in flower shops now. It is much easier to cater to customers through our websites.”

Aside from this, the growth is also triggered by the belief that more and more individuals in the country are becoming appreciative of being given flowers. Giving of flowers is now an effective way of showing love and appreciation to a loved one, a friend, or even a client.

Petrov adds, “The recipients of the flowers we deliver to always have a happy smile on their faces every time they open the door and found out they have a delivery from their spouse, their son or daughter, or even their friend.” Such a trend has surely encouraged more people to go to a flower shop for Petersburg Russia flowers and order flowers for someone special. This basically explains why flower shops have grown and a Russia florist is so in demand now.
