ESPN.com has reported that WR Steve Smith will definitely be unavailable for the New York Giants in Philadelphia and might even miss further games. Smith’s unavailability stems from a partial tear of the pectoral muscle which he picked while catching on Thursday in practice. Mario Manningham & Ramses Barden are likely to feature increasingly in Coach Tom Coughlin’s plans as covers for Smith.
The news hasn’t dampened enthusiasm at the New Meadowlands Stadium, however, with fans pursuing the Giants’ games with eagerness.
