BOLLYWOOD FASHION DESIGNERS TO ADD GLITZ IN SHARJAH

EXPO CENTRE SHARJAH AND LUX JOIN HANDS FOR THE PERFECT WEDDING SHOW

BRIDAL SHOWS TO FEATURE WORKS OF NEETA LULLA, VIKRAM PHADNIS, ASIF MERCHANT AND ZAEEM JAMAL

Signature creations of leading Asian celebrity designers are set to add more glamour and glitz to the Perfect Wedding Show, which is to be held at Expo Centre Sharjah from March 2 to 5, 2011.

Expo Centre Sharjah and Lux, a leading personal care brand, have joined hands to present four days of breathtaking Asian Bridal Fashion Shows featuring celebrity designers such as Neeta Lulla, Vikram Phadnis, Asif Merchant and Zaeem Jamal.

“Our association with Lux is aimed at adding more value to the Perfect Wedding Show. The celebrity status of these high-profile designers and their signature creations are sure to be big attractions of the show,” said Mr Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, Director-General of Expo Centre Sharjah.

The designer collections will be presented in association with local high-profile designer boutiques – Label 24 and Samsaara – at the Perfect Wedding Show, which will feature a comprehensive display of all wedding services and products.

“We believe that the Lux brand value is reflected in the collaboration with these high-profile fashion designers. What we have in common is the belief that beauty is best reflected when coupled with character and personality. We look forward to this association and promise four days of unparalleled glamour and dazzle,” said a Lux representative.

Label 24 Fashion, an Indo-Western fashion clothing store that stocks 24 international fashion designer collections, mainly from India, uses traditional craftsmanship, intricate embroidery and rich textures to meet the evolving needs of the Asian and Arab consumers. It stocks creations of leading celebrity designers such as Satya Paul, Rocky S and Neeta Lulla, to name a few.

At the Perfect Wedding Show, Label 24 will showcase the latest bridal collections of leading Bollywood celebrity designer Neeta Lulla, who is known to dress high-profile movie stars such as Aishwariya Rai and Kareena Kapoor and is the designer behind ground-breaking films such as Devdas. Label 24 will also showcase the dazzling collections of leading designer Asif Merchant.

Samsaara is one of the pioneering multi-designer boutiques and represents major brands and designers such as Vikram Phadnis, JJ Valaya and Satya Paul in the Middle East. At the Perfect Wedding Show, Samsaara will showcase the latest bridal collections of leading Bollywood celebrity designer Vikram Phadnis, who is known to dress high-profile movie stars such as Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan. Priyanka Chopra, Malaika Arora Khan and Bipasha Basu also swear by his collections.

Samsaara will also showcase the vibrant collections of leading designer Zaeem Jamal, better known by his label Z for Z, which is an extraordinary brand that was founded to bring spirituality and purpose into the world of fashion. Z for Z was last seen in Dubai Fashion Week which featured Bollywood starlet Dia Mirza as his showstopper.

The bridal fashion shows will be part of the wedding fair, which will showcase cultural parades, live demonstrations of hair-styling and make-up , apart from a wide range of perfumes, ouds, cosmetics, jewellery, gifts and accessories, health and beauty products, cards and stationery, and related materials and services.

Designers, couturiers, décor specialists, wedding planners and caterers will offer their services, while there will be a host of options regarding wedding and reception venues, photography, entertainment options and honeymoon destinations.

The show is also offering a lifetime opportunity for one lucky couple to win a fully sponsored ‘Royal Wedding’ followed by an exotic honeymoon to Malaysia.

The region’s best showcase of perfumes, fragrances and aromatic oils -- Parfam 2011 -- in association with the Fragrance Foundation Arabia, will be held alongside the Perfect Wedding Show at Expo Centre Sharjah.
