Party City Opens Cincinnati OH Megastore at Tri-County Marketplace

Party supplies national retailer Party City has gone big in Cincinnati Ohio, launching a new megastore in the Tri-County Marketplace on December 3.

Twice the size of a standard franchise, Party City's Cincinnati megastore holds more than one third of an acre of party supplies organized by season, color, and theme. Featured departments like "Favor City," "Candy City," and "Sports City" are nearly big enough to operate as independent franchises. A printing center gives customers the ability to create personalized invitations, signs, and banners on the spot and have them printed the very same day.

Founded in 1986 by Steve Mandell, Party City was acquired by its largest vendor, Amscan Holdings, in 2005. The company still abides by the principle of "more party for less," offering a huge inventory of theme party supplies year round and thousands of Halloween costumes and accessories during the peak October shopping season.

In the past year, Party City Corporation has been adding new franchises nationwide at the brisk clip of more than two per month.
