According to PayBill.com, Cirque du Soleil - Wintuk gives the fans an opportunity to win loads of prizes worth $1 Million. The show opens at the Wamu Theater (formerly Theater at Madison Square Garden) in the city of New York on Nov 17, 2010 and on this opening day, a hundred lucky winners would be walking away with prizes. Scott Briggs of TicketLuck.com, thinks that “the contest would show an escalation in the demand of tickets” which could also result in the Cirque du Soleil – Wintuk New York ticket prices skyrocketing.

Briggs also thinks that the trend will help increase the ticket sales since the prize money is enticing enough and the people, as always, are eager to win. The official website of the show has already started receiving entries by hundreds of eager contestants. Fans of eighteen years and older can take part in the Snow Day Contest. A hundred randomly selected individuals can get a chance to get really lucky and win an individual prize of up to $10,000. The prize is conditioned with snow fall, of course and would be awarded to the winners, if New York City sees some snowflakes. The chances of a snow fall in the city are decent enough, which means that by the end of the opening day, a hundred individuals would get really rich. For Wintuk and Cirque du Soleil, it is a great way to start the holiday season, adding a hefty sum to its annual revenue of over US $800million!

Wintuk is a seasonal, semi permanent and residency show of Cirque du Soleil that is hosted by various venues across New York City during the holiday season. The show tells the tale of a winter adventure of Jamie who embarks on a journey to find the elusive snow. With the help of several interesting characters, Jamie’s quest comes to an end when he finally finds snow at its imaginary homeland of Wintuk. Cirque du Soleil - Wintuk Wamu Theater (formerly Theater at Madison Square Garden) will be on stage from Nov 17th, 2010.
